you can now download a brand new previously unheard mayors track from our bandcamp, totally free and stuff - yay! it's going to go on our new album, though probably a different recording of it. so fill your boots.

call it a late christmas present if you like, or a thank you for anyone who came to a show this year, or bought some merch etc etc. we love you loads.

i am feeling very olympic today

BBC 6 music are gonna play one or two of our numbers on tom robinson's show. so that's pretty rad, should be on some sort of podcast too. tom from ragweed got us played on a station in brighton too i think...i think. either way, both are good lads. thanks toms!

also, we've pretty much finished writing and demoing our next album. looking forward to getting it recorded proper. it'll be comprised of a few newer tracks that we play live, as well as a bunch no one will have heard yet. hopefully we'll crack out one or two of them on the 9th.

the air is sweet as the day is long

tomorrow's brighton show is being rescheduled for march due to unforseen circumstances (not our fault this time though!), but tonite's one at the cocks is most definitely going ahead. georgia asphalt are now playing instead of ragweed so expect nakedness.

we're also sorting a couple of shows (london and oxford) with kill murray (new band of Aaron from phantom theory and Chris formerly of us, and a billion other rad projects) in january. she's a babe.

PLUS we're planning a mini-tour for easter time. awesome! be sure to hit us up if you fancy having us in yr town for that.

the garden of england

so we played malcfest out in the deepest darkest depths of kent in september, which was awesome. props to malc and co for putting on such an amazing DIY event. we've been uber-busy writing with tom since his return, but we have managed to squeeze in a few booking before the end of the year, including a couple this coming weekend.

on friday we're playing todger's album launch at the zentih bar in angel (london). i've heard it and it's RAD. on saturday we're making a trip out to kent again (chatham this time) to play a motherboy night with frau pouch. should be a total banger!

don't just book it

we've started rehearsing with Tom since he returned from his travels and are looking forward to getting enough songs together to record an album very soon.

there's a few weeks before our next show at Malcfest 2011, but we're very much looking forward to it. we're playing the friday, but it goes on for 3 days and is bound to be totally rad!

hopefully in the autumn we'll be cracking out some double drummer action at shows. YES.

love you.

malcfest 2011

we're proud to announce that we've been asked to play Malcfest 2011 on the first weekend of september. Malcfest is a proper DIY music and art festival, this year will be the biggest yet, with around 40 bands playing over 4 days somewhere near charing in kent. more details when we have them.

in other news, we'll be getting some t-shirts screen-printed shortly! quite excited about that. they'll cost yer about a fiver we reckon. they'll be available from our shop and at shows when they're done.

why do they call it a cheese grater when it makes cheese smaller?

we had banger of an evening last night, Anorak totally slayed, i don't think anyone has ever seen Ed'kowski with a smile across his face for that long. they liked my cooking too, which besides the show was my my main concern. i find cooking for french people slightly nerve-racking, given their reputation as legendary foodies. the food i've been fed in France and such with Silent Front has always been impeccable.

Nitkowski were obviously brutally awesome too, but you already knew that. lovely lads.

we don't have any shows booked now till july now. we're going to concentrate on getting enough material together for our next album in the interim (though that's not to say that we won't take bookings if they come our way of course!). Tom returns in late july, but before we bid farewell to Chris, we'll be sure to have suitabley rad send-off show. we might even try something with two drummers if we're feeling saucy.

wick.

down with the sickness

claire has come down with some nasty fever so we unfortunately have to pull out of IHTK this evening. bizarrely, the last time they booked us we cancelled at the last minute due to chris getting a swollen drum gland too.

big apologies to wayne and alex at IHTK. i going to buy them a crapload of beers tonite.

ooo-wa-ah-ah-ah!

o'neil

we have a few london shows in april. last night we played the old blue last with bullet proof vest and great western. both a good laugh and top lads. plus one of the guitarists from great western looked like the young peter pan from hook. bonus! apparently for our first 3 songs my vocals made me sound like i was in a cavernous cathedral made out of iron, but after the sound lad sorted that out it was all pretty rad.

we're really looking forward to i hate the kids and the victory in dalston on [edit] friday. yokozuna and cutthroat convention are firm faves. don't miss 'em! fat bicth are from brighton, i don't know of them personally, but i do know that IHTK wouldn't book anyone less than awesome, so they should be ace.

the nitkowski show at the end of the month should also be beffin. top french lads anorak will be making their debut appearance in london for that'un. the doods are NAILS if you don't know em. i heard they might be playing hellfest this year with the likes of clutch, the melvins, kyuss lives and electric wizard. the bastards.

here and stuff

in light of myspace becoming effectively unworkable and the demise of our website we have launched this blog job. it'll be the best place to get the most up to date info on our happenings and that, as well as other pointless crap we feel like posting.
