i'm just working the desk

so we've been back from tour for a couple of weeks. we had such an ace time, made lots of new friends, and met up with a lot of old ones too. so much love to everyone who came to see us, put us on or put us up - we are humbled by your amazingness. missing the ferry and our dublin show due to a massive traffic accident in north wales was a bit of a downer, but doing easy lover at a karaoke bar in holyhead with a gaggle of very welcoming locals went some way to making us feel better! anyways, i'll be putting together a tour video diary soon.

while we were away, we got put on this download comp by we heart arts. all profits go to ace causes. lasses and lads are aaaall that.

we're currently plotting our next moves. we've been having a right old ball ache with the split 7" but we are hopefully not too far off having it sorted now. we've also been having a right old ball ache with the album, but again, we're close with that too i think!

we have a bunch of shows across the south-east of england in september, and plenty more on the horizon. come see us!

our tour starts tonight! check out the final schedule with facebook event links at the bottom of this post. we are giddy with excitement. so giddy in fact, that we spent most of our practice last night trying to work out a bunch of old bon jovi hits instead of rehearsing. anyways, Claire is prepping the cool bag with blue freezer thingies and lots of fruit as i write, and preaching about the importance of eating well, but Tom seems more excited about visiting the curry mile in manchester and getting an olympic breakfast down him at one of the little chefs on the A303. all in all, it's set to be a bit of a belter. a belter with very frequent toilet breaks.

due to some issues with the pressing plant, we're having to push back the launch of our 7" a little. the show on july 12th will still go ahead but we won't have nuffink on sale bruv. soz.

great running

the launch show for our split will be at the macbeth in hoxton. we're sorting out another band at the mo, and we're hoping do something a bit different! will keep you posted on that. in the mean time, you can hear a preview of our track on our bandcamp.

split on a 7"

we're really excited to announce that we'll be releasing a split 7" with Death Pedals on july 12th. it's being put out by the lovely lads at We Be Records on lovely heavyweight green vinyl. mmmm. they have previously released stuff by some rad faves of ours including Lords, These Arms are Snakes and Caretaker - suffice to say, we're pretty stoked that they wanted to get involved!

we'll be doing a launch show in london (venue tbc) on july 12th, so you'll be able to get yr mitts on a copy then. in the mean time we'll put up a stream of the song soon.

guess who's coming to dinner?

our new album is almost finished! just the lead vocals to go and it's done. harvery birrell has been an absolute legend, putting up with all our outlandish rock star demands and such. also and southern studios are lovely...on top of the amazing history of the place.

we make our live return on may 4th in london. booking for our tour in july/august is going well but we still have a couple of dates left to fill. get in touch if yr interested in having us!

here's a great little vid of a song from our set last friday. the audio was captured by Mr Sam Walker from Fear of DIY and the video by Mike Woodman of noted prog monsters Thumpermonkey. this isn't yr usual digital-camera-in-a-gig type recording. this is proper mint! there may be more tunes from the set to follow too...

the show itself was rad, we've got brighton and another london date coming up this weekend. then a bit of a break while we sort out recording our next album! it's been a long time coming but we're so nearly there.

our weekender with kill murray was rad, thanks to everyone who came out to see us. it hopefully won't be the last time we play with them.

bit of good news is that we've set the dates for recording our next alb, bit of bad news is that we've had to cancel the mini-tour we had planned for april in order to make room for this. however, we'll be doing a proper tour in august instead so it's not so bad. if you fancy having us in your town let us know!
